Mr..HIRRS stated that he has known RUBY on a

later, he, MIRES, was at the showroom of the Adolphus

he had to RUBY's clubs. VIERS did not learn how RUBY

recognized his whereas VIERS had never seen RUBY before

"Times Herald" Building on numerous occasions concerning

publicity for his clubs and frequently has complained of

preferential treatment being given his competitors relative

to space in the newspaper concerning various clubs in

Dallas. VIERS added that RUBY has appeared to be unreasonable

in his complaints concerning alleged unfair treatment

of his by this newspaper.'

VIERS stated he last saw RUBY several months ago,

exact date unknown, when RUBY appeared at the "Times

Herald" Building on business..

VIERS advised that he did not know LEE HARVEY

OSWALD and has no information indicating that OSWALD and

RUBY ever associated together. He added tht he has no

information concerning the shooting of OSWALD by RUBY. -
